Tour de Cure: Help to Prevent and Cure Diabetes!

My brother PJ was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at the age of 5 and struggled with it his entire life. Last August at the age of 31 he was killed in an automobile accident because he had a diabetic reaction and ran a red light. Diabetes is a terrible disease and it is my hope that we can help find a cure. We all miss you PJ everyday.

Painted on 1-19-09 as the sun was setting. There was a lot of smog and I probably should have painted in doors. I enjoy the light as the sun sets. There is a play of warm and cool color in the sky. The painting moves the viewers eye into the painting using the lines of the snow entering from the left and moving to the right and then the telephone poles move the viewers eye into the painting and to the left. There is the contrast of the vertical lines of the poles and the horizontal lines of the grass.

This is a place close to where I live and I paint there often. I like this field because there is always all kinds of equipment and the view is always different depending on the time of year.
